Military Robotics

Beware over Robot Overlords!!!

It is interesting to see in popular culture this excess fear of militarized robotics becoming sentient and going on a rampage. People neglected to realize that the computational power necessary to simulate a 2 millimeter long neocortical column within a rat brain requires a 8,000 processor supercomputer.

Military robotics are continuing to become a major part of the United States long term plans. The use of UAVs has proved exceptional support to troops on the ground. Numerous UAV programs are currently in operation for the US Military.

UGV although not as present on the battlefield have gone through a major evolution in capability and worth to the average soldier. It will be interesting to see what becomes of these vehicles as they are increasingly used in combat.

Even more promising is the idea of enhancing the individual troops with robotic exoskeletons. As demonstrated in the video below.

History Channel's 'The Universe '

The History Channel program 'The Universe' is one of the better programs on the network. It has just finished its fourth season with the last episode focusing on the equilibrium of energy within the cosmos. Scientist and Engineers use equilibrium to solve physics based problems. I have much appreciation for this episode. Full Episodes of 'The Universe' are available online for FREE at the History Channel. To spur your interest here is a trailer for the first episode.

Transition to Blogger

This blog was previously hosted on the micro blogging platform Tumblr. While I've had a great experience microblogging, I've found that the focus of the blog has been lost thus the reemergence of The Three Laws on the Blogger platform.

The plans for this rekindled blog are focused on The Three Laws of human development which consists of the following paradigms:
  • Mind
  • Body
  • Soul
We all should have to desire to expand and grow as individuals. It is my belief that only through these three paradigms can stability and success proliferate within your life. For that purpose, thethreelaws.net is born.
